“Many years ago I worked at a wholly owned property in Australia that supported the ‘Make a Wish’ Foundation, a children’s charity that creates life-changing wishes for children aged 3-18. with serious illnesses,” shared Annika Worth.

“I felt so privileged to be able to make wishes come true and come true by providing exceptional experiences for these children and their families. Originally from Melbourne, she studied travel and tourism in the UK, then returned to Australia where she began her hospitality career on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Over the next 15 years, Worth gained experience in a variety of industries including Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, Sales & Marketing, and Revenue Management.

A year, precisely in 2007, Worth moved to another country nicknamed “down under” – New Zealand. She was given the opportunity to be part of the pre-opening team for properties in the Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton cluster in Queenstown. Then she completed the Hilton General Manager Leadership and Women in Leadership programs, opening the door to the opportunity to become a Hilton Lake Taupo hotel manager.
